Participating teens, ages 14 – 21, will spend a long weekend living together in a beach house on Fenwick Island, DE under the supervision of our support staff. This unique opportunity will allow participating teens to develop independence and build healthy relationships with peers within the context of a “real world“ experience.”
All food and lodging accommodations will be provided. The teens and staff will stay in a rental home situated along the bay. A variety of small group and large group activities will be offered during the trip. These activities (eating dinner at a restaurant, exploring the beach, kayaking, biking, visiting Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum, preparing meals, etc) will be individualized to meet the needs of each of the teens.
Departure on Friday: The group will leave campus immediately after school on Friday, April 11, 2014. Students should bring suitcase, meds, bedding supplies directly to the van upon arrival at school on Friday morning. You may choose to drop off these items during the school. If you do so, please drop them off at the Upper School office so that trip staff can be alerted.
Arrival on Monday: The group will return to campus by 3 PM on Monday, April 14, 2014. The group will be at the Upper School building upon return.
