VFES to host its First Annual "Special Kids" Camp Expo on Saturday, January 31st, 2009 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM!

 

     

A division of Valley Forge Educational Services, SUMMER MATTERS represents a continuum of innovative summer learning experiences for youth and young adults who learn differently, ages 6 - 24,  in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

 

Among its programs are:

 

  • SUMMER L.I.F.E. (formerly called SUMMER MATTERS): An experiential learning program that provides students, ages 6 - 24, opportunities to refine academic and social skills within the context of "real world" experiences that include day camps, overnight travel trips, and community-based programming.

 

2009 SUMMER L.I.F.E. At-a-Glance

 

  • The Vanguard School Extended School Year (ESY) Program: A intensive six-week, full-day program that is designed to help eligible students, ages 6 - 21, maintain skills and reduce regression during the summer months through a balance of academic and recreational programming.

 

2009 ESY WEEKLY SCHEDULES

 

  • Summer at Crossroads: A comprehensive five-week academic program for children entering Kindergarten through 6th grade that builds children's academic skills and boosts their self-confidence.

 

 

Future Programs may include:

 

  • Weekend Retreats and Respite Programs
  • Sleep-away Camps
